In the digital world, everything is story — and being able to tell a story is everything.
I'm a writer, strategist, and storyteller with nearly two decades of full-time journalism under my belt — and a lot more besides. I've crafted marketing strategies for some of the world's most recognized brands, written speeches for Fortune 50 executives and top politicians, and published bylines in the places writers dream of appearing.
But I'm also an advocate, a public speaker, and someone who genuinely believes that the right words, in the right order, can change everything.
I bring that same care to every project — whether it's a 5,000-word personal essay, a 280-character caption, or a screenplay that's been knocking around in my head for years.

My bylines span personal essay, narrative nonfiction, and feature writing — work that gets at the truth of how people live, what they carry, and what they're capable of.
On Storytelling
Every well-crafted story begins with a plan for how to tell it. A roadmap to make sure you get there — without meandering too far off course and without forgetting the details that make it feel true.
That's story. And that's strategy. I don't separate the two.
From personal essays to ad copy, speeches to screenplays — the craft is always the same. You find the truth of it, and you make someone feel it.
I didn't set out to be a military advocate. But the needs were obvious, the community was mine, and rolling up my sleeves was never really a choice — it was just what you did.
Over more than two decades, I've helped start national nonprofits, been appointed to presidential boards, co-led families through heavy combat deployments, and stood on stages with presidents to make the case for people who often can't make it themselves.
