Was that ‘thank you’ or F.U. for your service?

Today the House of Representatives approved a budget deal that, among other things, will cut military retirement pay by about $83,000 for enlisted and $124,000 for officers. I’ll be saying a whole lot more about this in the coming days, but for now you can read this story on CNN.com. I’m quoted about halfway down.

  1. I am so glad I found your blog! I just read your column at CNN. It was beautifully written and absolutely perfect! I wrote (well, vented) about how frustrated I was on my blog yesterday, but I don’t have many readers looking at it so far. I am an OIF veteran, my husband is an OIF & OEF veteran, and we feel the same way. What just happened to the military members who made the most sacrifices for the country this past decade was a definite F.U. It could have been handled much better. Best of luck to you, I will be reading more!
